Eczane İncelemecisinde Önerilen Eczaneler

Just google opiod vending machine Vancouver it is a test project for now. I am all for harm reduction I used to work needle exchange but I'm also a chronic pain patient who has to jump through hoops to get my medications! Not fair

From what I have observed lately, NOW if you have an opiate “disorder,” getting treatment is FAR easier than getting help with chronic pain. It’s like they are rewarding you for being “addicted” and punishing you for being a “responsible”
user. The insanity of our cultural biases...

Getting four doses of dilaudid a day? Crickey - I might admit I have that problem for THAT... :D

@GringoStarr...I just got a new MRI because I’m seeing a different doctor. The old doctor didn’t want to order one because he said he wouldn’t do anything differently anyway. Of course that didn’t make me feel really comfortable because what if he SHOULD be doing something differently.

As it turned out my new MRI wasn’t that different from the prior but the new doctor said “did anybody discuss with you that you’ve got 3 pinched nerves?”

Uh no, I left the last guy cause he said he couldn’t do any more for me because I’m “just old and that’s what happens when you get old”.

Maybe your new doc will actually have some compassion? I sure hope so...:alkış:

@ Jades...I don’t think this guy will be doing any of my old prescription but I was impressed with him in general and got my first steroid shot into 2 of the nerves in my lower back. Holy $hit!!! Did those hurt - right down my leg like an electric shock and much worse than the medial branch blocks. I will say though that I think the first round is helping because I was pretty much unable to walk. The nice thing with this guy was that he did prescribe Valium for me to take before coming in.

I have found that I have started saying I would like you to request a bone density test (or any) and having such a complicated medical history I try to be a bit more bossy than I am comfortable with, but I also am super lucky my sister is a surgical nurse in a pain clinic in Alberta so she's really up on tests I should have etc. But you cannot just let the doctor dictate the meeting all of the time.

We need to have a million chronic pain patient walk to get people to listen!

End of rant ????

And alas, that’s the problem...most pain patients can’t do it. There’s so many online support groups but it’s hard getting group meetings because many are housebound or just don’t have the energy or ability to get places. I’ve said before though that the anti pain med people got their way because they did exactly what you said...they marched and got LOUD. Plus they were extremely emotional and used pictures of beautiful young children for impact.

I’m worried about things like Corona Virus and pharmacies running out or shutting down for a while for any non essential drugs. Ugh the stress!

Tanıştığımıza memnun oldum @Lemmyhellcat

My first question is policy. Been through two pain clincs in last 10 years. Lot of stroke victims relearning basic skills. This unfortunately does nothing to address chronic or breakthough pain.
Has this changed? Meditation is wonderful for axiety. When I watch the perfectly radiant glow of index finger twisting sideways in real time, I really do need traditional pain meds. Still not convinced that even "reputable" IOP's are free from salting meds.

Today more and more Dr's are NOT prescribing pain meds, they are afraid of losing their practice.

All I'm gonna say is that its a good thing we got sites like this.
Im beginning to see even sites like this one (only one that matters imo) cant help folks because all countries are re scheduling their meds to where they cant sell them any longer. I have not been able to find replacements since my last one over a year ago to help me sleep, and Hydrocodone / Vicodine is no longer in existence period on this globe. Alprazolam/xanax is the only way I can get to sleep for many many years now I take 4 Benadryl and at times a tylonel PM just to fall asleep. I know this is bad for me but no choice now. Even the Benadryl is watched by the store you buy it from after showing your license.

@GringoStarr Yes, in my case of chronic pain I had experience almost all, even a few doctors saying I was just inventing my pain. Fortunately depending on the country you live, you can change your Hospital or specialist with one click, so if they don't pay attention to you anymore in one place you can change to another. Im talking about free health care, I have no experience with insurance companies and when I went to private doctors in a lot of them I was almost given the prescription paper in blank so I can fill it with the medicine I want (Not exactly but almost yes). But of course not many people can afford to pay 100 or 150 dollars per visit to get 2 or 3 boxes of medicine.

Try to find people in your same situation not only here but in your local community, that can save you a lot of headaches if you are in trouble with some doctor and don't know what to do.

I just received a letter in the mail from my shrink. He's almost ninety, and he'll be retiring in August. This is bad on so many levels. I'm happy for him, but I'm gutted.
My biggest fear is losing my psychiatrist. All the other doctors I can replace. Not her.
That is also one of my biggest fears. It took me so long to find a psychiatrist that was open to trying different medication. There’s such a shortage of them to begin with.

I don't think that's necessarily true. I'm not sure about anywhere else, but certainly not where I live. I have addiction red flagged all over my medical files from many years ago, and I can't even get a doctor to prescribe me gabapentin anymore. Forget about anything like anxiety or pain meds, lol.

However, I do agree that it is way too easy to walk into a clinic and get prescribed methadone or suboxone- two incredibly strong and addictive opioids which are incredibly difficult to come off of (in most cases harder to come off of than what you went into the clinic for in the first place). But I will say that being on methadone allowed me to become functional, work, and build my life back up. It was just very not fun when it came time to withdraw from it.

I meant that the medical community seems EAGER to label folks as addicts and treat THAT, but try getting treated for pain or anxiety, as you say - all of a sudden EVERYONE is a liar or a malingerer. It’s effin crazy...

I’m impressed that you did get off of methadone! I’ve often thought that’s the med I’ll have to “choose” if ever forced in that direction.

Have had 2 doctors retire within 1.5 years. Been on anxiety meds for years. First doc had me on 8mg xanax daily. Helped with anxiety because I was pretty much out of it. New doc told me that was a very high dose. Put me on diazepam and tapered to 25 mg daily. Now he has retired. He did give me a list of doctors that agreed to take in his patients. But some docs won't even prerscribe for any controlled anymore. He gave me refills till October. Hope one of these new docs will at least work with me to taper off Diazapam

8 mg Xanax down to 25 mg Valium, wow. You have been through so much. I hope you find someone that can help you. It is criminal what doctors are getting away with.
